He was born in Jalandhar, Punjab. Kumaar has completed his graduation from DAV College, Jalandhar. After completion of his graduation, he came to Mumbai to pursue his career as a lyricist. Kumaar has been a music lover since his childhood. He loves to listen to the music and write the lyrics of various music compositions. He started his career in 2000 with his first song, Ishq Tera Tadpave, from the album Sukhbir, which has become a big hit in the Bollywood Music Industry.

His work was highly appreciated in the industry.
