Rajan Batra

Rajan Batra the game changer of the Punjabi film industry. He has shown his excellence in fields like film production and distribution. His films were those which created a revolution in the Punjabi film industry. He was born on December 8, 1976, in Jalandhar, Punjab. He was born to M.L.Batra, a father who was a civil lawyer in the district court and to his mother a principal in a Government school in Jalandhar.

He was brought up like any Hindu child in the streets of Jalandhar. Very few is known about his early childhood. In 2003 he started his career as a lawyer by following his dad’s steps and the switched to being a afilm distributor way long before he commenced film production. In 2009 along with Tips Industries his first production venture was born with the movie ‘Jihne Mera Dil Luteya’ The long lane of films that he gave birth to starts from Yaar Annmulle , Pure Punjabi , Pinky Moge Wali, Viyah 70 km , Mere Yaar Kaminey, under his own banner of Batra Showbiz and the list goes on and on.

His passion for owning a production house started way long back said Batra in one of his interviews.He has given opportunities for many budding artists like Keeya Khan. She made her debut in YaarAnnmulle 2 under the banner of Batra Showbiz Production. Some of the Hindi movies produced by his production house are Virudh, Heroine, Carry on Jatt,Power Cut, Saadi Gali Aaya Karo, Punjabi Bold. Batra Productions at present have four active directors being Sonali Batra, Pinku Batra, Kapil Batra, Rajan Batra.

To be precise the production house came into existence on December 12, 2011. The production house has been producing films since then and has grown big enough to spread its root to Bollywood. The songs in his movies were trend setting for the Punjabi beats. He has made his own firm ground in Punjabi film industry and he has started building his career in Bollywood. He had won the Best Film Award of PIFFA for his movie Jihne MeraDil Luteya and the Best Music Award For Yaar Annmulle.
