Kolkata saw the birth of a talent on 4th may 1986. Shirin Guha, an actress who created an inerasable impression on the hearts and minds of the people through her debut performance in the movie “lootera”, released in the year 2013. The girl is basically from west Bengal, now settled in Mumbai because of the demand of her career. In the very first movie she shared the screen with two utmost talented and well known actors, ranveer Singh and sonakshi sinha. Shirin thinks she is lucky enough to get this opportunity in the very starting of her career. According to her, hard work and sensitivity are the prime requirement and characteristics of a good and a successful actor. Being trained or not does not make much difference. Although she herself is a degree holder in ‘drama’ from Rabindra Bharti University who further did a post graduate diploma in acting and filmmaking from FTII, pune. Swachhatoa Guha, known by the name Shirin, worked in different fields before entering the film industry. She is a professional script writer and has also worked in the field of journalism (electronic media). She was a field journalist in ABP news – a well known television news channel. Shirin is also trained in dance and can make you groove on her beats. During her struggling period, this actress even worked as a dubbing and voice over artist to meet up her survival expenses in Mumbai. She had to face financial crises when she was thrown out of a movie without being paid any amount provided by the vague reasons questioning and pointing out her acting skills. According to the sources the actress is getting various offers and hence is busy reading the scripts. She is a bit choosy when it comes to the projects she wants to do. Shirin is a versatile actor and believes that an actor should not be bounded by the demarcations. A good actor must learn to perform roles of different genres throughout the life.
