Inaamulhaq is a prominent Indian actor, director and screenwriter. He was born on November 14, 1979, in Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh, India. They are nine in the family and even if they are not financially stable, his father, whom he called Babuji, ensured that all of them will attain academic education. He is married to Shibli and they have a son named Ivaan. He graduated Arts before doing a post graduation at the National School of Drama (NSD) and started stage performance at the age of twelve. He took several theatre workshops in Delhi University so he can earn and pursue acting in Mumbai. However, after two years, he was not able to obtain money and decided to borrow from a friend. He participated in Indian People’s Theatre Association (IPTA) and acted in the lead roles for some stage plays that was produced by NSD, IPTA and SARGAM-A. In 2006, Inaamulhaq shifted to Mumbai and became a writer for television including the reality-based comedy show, Comedy Circus and the season 2 of the popular detective series, Karamchand.

Besides being a writer, Inaamulhaq also works as a Content Director on various television shows such as Comedy Circus, Arre Deewano Mujhe Pehchano and Kaho Na Yaar Hai. He is also the Associate Creative Director of Nautanki – The Comedy Theatre and the Act Producer of STAR Plus’ Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala. Inaamulhaq later moved into films and penned the dialogue for Puri Jagannadh’s box-office Bollywood action comedy film, “Bbuddah… Hoga Terra Baap” in 2011. Inaamulhaq also helmed two short films entitled Parchhaiyaan in 2004 and The Search in 2005. The latter earned a nomination at the Berlin Asia-Pacific Film Festival in 2006 for Best Film Award. He turned actor in the Hindi political thriller anthology film, Firaaq, in 2008. He was also seen in Karan Malhotra's highly successful action drama film, Agneepath in 2012.

He got his first important role as Aftaab in the National Award-winning film, Filmistaan in 2013, where he won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role award at the Big Life OK Now Awards, SICA Awards, 21st Annual Screen Awards, IBNLive Movie Awards 2015 and AIBA Awards 2015. He was also listed at Mid-Day’s Top 10 Stand-Out Actors of 2014 and IBNlive’s The Most Prominent Debuts of 2014. This 2016, he played as Major Khalaf Bin Zayd, a corrupt army officer, in Akshay Kumar-starrer film, Airlift.
