Gaurav Sharma is an Indian television actor. He was born in Chandigarh and raised up in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. He finished his studies in Meerut and attended the International Call Center at Gurgaon. At first, acting was never easy for him since his family is not into show business; but his parents becomes very supportive on fulfilling his dream to become an actor. He started his career as a model and in 2009, he shifted to Mumbai to pursue his acting career. Later, he auditioned in Beyond Dreams Productions and was finalized to play the main lead role in the television series, Jamunia on NDTV Imagine. He played the role of Jai Thakur, a decent and down-to-earth guy who falls in love with Jamunia (
). Prior to this, Gaurav also acted in the daily show,
which was aired on Sony TV and in the Hindi series,
. He is also part of the television drama series, Phulwa as Ramcharan on Colors HD. Gaurav acted as Rohan’s (played by
) brother in the Hindi drama series, Bitto in 2010.
In 2012, the actor played the role of Akshay, the childhood friend of
) in the historical drama, Chandragupta Maurya on Imagine TV. He donned the role of Sunny Ashok Shrivastav in the Indian soap, Kairi – Rishta Khatta Meetha on Colors TV. He also made a cameo appearance in Mahima Shanidev Ki opposite Ketkie Jayshree. Later, he played as Rajkumar, a village boy in the popular soap, Diya Aur Baati Hum opposite Chaturi (played by
) on STAR Plus. The brilliant actor also played the role of Akash, a doctor in the soap, Byaah Hamari Bahoo Ka on Sony TV under the production of Hats Off Productions. Gaurav was also seen in the situational Pakistani comedy show, Naadaaniyaan – Teen Nadaanon Ki Kahaani, where he bags the role of Pappu, a happy-go-lucky who wished to be an actor. on playing the role of Khush Kapoor in the Hindi soap, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain on Sony TV. Recently, he was cast as Shravan, the cousin of Ishani (played by
) in the Balaji Telefilms’ Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi on Colors TV.
Aside from doing television shows, he also filmed Vinod Pande’s Din Ke Andhere Mein in 2013, from which he will be debuted as a film actor.
