Shakti Mohan is an Indian actress who predominantly acts in Hindi serials and models for brands in commercials.
She has three sibling sisters -
Mukti Mohan and Kriti two of whom are into the same field as well. She is generally from Delhi but moved to Mumbai in 2006 and settled down in the city. She finished her schooling from Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, which happens to be a boarding school and completed her Masters of Arts, majoring in Political Science from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai. She aspired to become an IAS officer and was preparing for the exam that was when life changed course and she took up in ‘Dance India Dance’.
She found new love in the form of dance and started learning it sincerely. She then graduated with a diploma in dance from the ‘Terence Lewis Dance Foundation Trust’ in the year 2009. She has been dancing despite doctors’ advice from her childhood that she shouldn’t put too much strain due to an injury.
She was the winner of the second season of the Dance India Dance show. She has also played the role of Kria Ghai on the daily soap opera
Dil Dosti Dance on Channel V. She made her first appearance in a Bollywood movie when she briefly starred in the video for the title song of the movie ‘
Tees Maar Khan’ and also a cameo appearance in ‘
Rowdy Rathore’ in its item song ‘Aa Re Pritam Pyare’. She has also done a four-minute Live dance performance along with BBC for their Collaboration Culture project in the music written by Mohammed Fairouz.
