Reyhna Malhotra

Born in a Brahmin family, from Srinagar, Reyhna is a model turned actress in the Indian Film Industry. Directed by Nila Panda, the movie was earlier named as “Love Is Not Mathematics” that released in 2014. Another venture that got her fame was “Antha Scene Ledu” a Tamil-Telugu project where she got a chance to work with Nazirji. Starring Navdeep and Shashank, Reyhna, after this project, was a well- renowned lady in the south. 

She says, in her biography on her personal website, that she always knew that she was made for acting. When she was a child, she mastered dance forms, like Jazz and other classical dance forms. She recalls how she used to miss her Math tuitions to practice more for her dance. She represented her school in various inter school dance competitions. She has won laurels in the state as well as district level competitions, not only for her school but herself as well. 

Reyhna did her graduation from Jyoti Niwas College, in Bangalore. During her college days, she has been a part of the drama groups. That is when her father knew; she was made for acting. During her college days, she pursued modeling as a part time, which made her go for the Hero Honda Contest. She has won the competition, after which she forgot what was being lazy. Sometimes, being the handpicked, chosen model for the designers, she has worked hard to be known amongst the designers. For a person who considers the transformation from modeling to acting as a natural progress, she quickly adapts to the surroundings and her character. She says her liberal and multi-city upbringing has helped her adjust herself more towards the work she does. Even though she was born in Srinagar, she was raised up in cities like Nashik, Kolkatta, Bangalore and Mysore. She is well acquainted with different languages and cultures.
