Salim Ghouse is an Indian film, television and theater actor and even a theater director. He has acted in films in various languages such as Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. This actor holds a Ph.D. in karate. The actor also acted in
Shyam Benegal’s TV serial "
Bharat Ek Khoj", where he gave a stellar performance. The actor was introduced in Bollywood by
Dasari Narayana Rao. Later, he acted in Shyam Benegal film Chakra and acted in a TV Serial Subah. Later he went to play a villain or a negative character in regional languages films.
His firs negative role was as a villain was in ‘’Vetri Vizha’’ ( a Kamal-Prabhu Movie) and “Thazhvaram” ( a Mohanlal Movie). Later he got enough scope to portray villain role in Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘

Drohi’ and ‘
Rakshana’ that got released in 1992. Later, he even appeared in Mani Ratnam’s film ‘Thiruda Thiruda’ and Shyam Bengal’s film ‘Sardari Begum’. Later he acted in Tamil superstar Vijay’s film Vettaikaaran(2009) and Silambarasan’s film Vaalu (2015). He is a powerful actor who can complete his dialogue lines even in a single take. He is also a very much lovable person in Kollywood and Tollywood. Every actor likes his performance down south and has been his Wellwisher. The actor is born and brought up in Chennai but had gone to Pune for doing a graduation in Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. In Pune Institute, he met his life partner Anita and got married to her. Recently, the actor is very much associated with plays and theater.
The actor got huge popularity in the stage for "Hamlet" and "Sufiana’’ which were his earlier stage performances. Currently, he is active with a play Troubadour, a stage show on the famous 16th Century French lyric poet.
