Taurani debuted in Bollywood with the film directed by . Born on January 30, 1989, he is currently working in Hindi projects. He hails from Mumbai, India. Though Girish has a filmi background, he had to struggle a lot to enter the industry.

Ramaiya Vastavaiya was produced by Girish Kumar’s reputed father Kumar S Taurani (Girish Kumar’s father is the head of Tips Industries Limited). Girish Kumar was given training for this film by Prabhu Deva for over three and half years.

Initially Prabhu Deva auditioned Girish Kumar and asked the latter to act out a few scenes and also some dance movements. Eventually the ace director was carried away by Girish Kumar’s performance and found that the newbie had some magic in him; he should be exploited rightfully. Prabhu had a conversation with Girish Kumar’s parents and suggested to them to give some dance practice to Girish Kumar.

Girish Kumar’s introductory scene in the film was a dare-devil stunt which was never seen in Hindi cinema. Girish Kumar underwent training for this too. Unfortunately, in spite of all this hard work, the film didn’t set the cash registers ringing. Girish is presently in talks with a couple of films and let’s hope this aspiring star emerges a winner.

On the personal front, Girish Kumar is married to Krsna Mangwani on February 11 2015.
