Scarlett Mellish Wilson is a British model and actress who works in Indian Cinema. She was born on 9th May 1989 and grew up in Folkstone, Kent, UK. Her mother Rosalind was a dancer, and it was her influence that Scarlett started dancing as soon she learned to walk. She started singing and acting at a tender age of 13. At the age of 16, she studied performing arts at Tiffany Theatre College in London where she trained professionally in dance forms like ballet and jazz. She came to India after college in 2009 after being offered a modeling contract in India. She then worked across many cities on various television projects and some commercial ads and also assisted for the choreography of TV show Chak Dhoom Dhoom. She has worked with many notable Indian choreographers and actors such as Bosco-caesar, Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan.

She was then recommended to Dibakar Bannerjee by Bosco-Caesar who cast her in a small role in his political thriller film Shanghai, and she also appeared in an item song “Imported Kamariya” in the same movie. After Shanghai, she caught everyone’s eyes by her dance moves and went on to appear in many more item numbers in movies R…Rajkumar, BajateyRaho, Bahubali: The beginning and Telugu films Chandee and Yevadu.

She also performed in the Punjabi music video Feem by Jazzy B. She has also appeared in television dance shows Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season 8 and Dare 2 Dance as a contestant. Recently she also bagged a lead role in an unnamed upcoming movie written and directed by Ahsan Hyder where she will be paired opposite Rajeev Khandelwal.

Smrity Panda

Smrity Panda is an 18-year-old girl, who was born in December. She became instantly popular through a Dance show in Sony TV. Emerged in 1996, ‘Boogie Woogie’ was the longest running Kids Dance show, which was reckoned as the best dance show in India. The show appeared to be popular due to its genuine attempt at hunting for the real talent in kids and to improve them better. Approved from sources, Smrity Panda was selected in the top 16 contestants in the ‘Boogie Woogie’ dance reality show, who were selected from all over India that included various dance styles such as crumping, semi-classical and hip-hop. The contestants participated and selected in ‘Boogie Woogie’ were aged between 6 to 14 years that have been selected from all across the country. Smrity Panda resides in Chend Colony along with her parents in Rourkela, where she was born. Smrity Panda’s parents are father RK Panda and mother Padmalaya, her father currently works as a GM in a private company and mother is a housewife. Smrity Panda is studying in Chinmay English Medium School and also is currently living in Mumbai along with her mother. Smrity Panda put utmost hard work to win the crown of ‘Boogie Woogie’ during 2013 season. The young champ had brought laurels for the city and to the school through her selection and outstanding performance in the popular Dance reality show. Smrity Panda was famous for particular dance styles such as Crumping, Semi-Classical, Hip-Hop that she performed the best in the show. She had been training since her childhood during 8-9 years for Odissi and western dance such as hip-hop, contemporary, and salsa. The girl has received consecutively two-time standing ovation in the first two episodes itself in the popular dance show from the judges and the Bollywood legends including Naved Jafri, Javed Jaaferi, and Ravi Behl, the efficient dancer aspires to become a Bollywood actress in the future. From all over India auditioned at Ranchi Kolkata, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Mumbai, Smrity had been selected through her real talent. Initial three rounds of qualification were conducted at Ranchi and were shortlisted in best 100, which followed gradually to the best top 16 from all over India. Smrity had been selected through all the qualification levels needed to enter for the popular dance reality show. Although Smrity Panda did not win in ‘Boogie Woogie’ dance reality, the young girl captured attention for her particular dance performance depicting Charlie Chaplin, which had owed her fame constantly among the audience to become their favorite contestant in the show. Smrity Panda had brought fame for her dance as she was the finalist in MBC TV dance reality show ‘Tararumpum Season 1’. The brilliant dancer secured first, second and third position in various dance competitions held by various prominent organizations of Odisha. At this tender age, Smrity Panda explores her other interests such as painting, singing, acting and event anchoring. Dreaming to excel in all dance forms in India and to go abroad to learn more forms, Smrity Panda is great at balancing her life with dance and studies.
