Amol Deshmukh

Amol Deshmukh is a renowned actor in the film industry, especially famous for his art films. His life is an inspirational guide for generations to come. He received the best education available in the country in the field of acting and worked in the top level art films of the decade. He finished his initial studies from the Bombay High School and then pursued Engineering from the Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering. He always had the keeda of acting in him and once he realized that, he was all set to move towards that career. Amol went to the famous FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) to learn acting, he did a diploma course there. He also studied in the prestigious NSD (National School of Drama) to learn the craftsmanship of theatrics and sharpen his visual presentation skills. He did an art film called ‘Turtle’ which was the rear view mirror of the society. He also was part of the famous Netflix film Love and Shukla which was a hit giving to the storyline of the contemporary times. He has also worked in Commercials and feature films. He was the face of the advertisement of the famous tea brand ‘Baagh Bakri’ chai. GYArah was one of his other short films. His film Karoption, directed by Amit Bimrot got screened at the IFFSA in Toronto in the year 2016. His other movie Grass was shown at Idsffk in 2015. He worked in the film Tandav by Mohan Dotel and has done numerous movies as supporting characters. The shining spot of his career is the short film Ek Tohfa-A Parting Gift’ in the year 2014. It got directed by Vikram Karve and starring Atharva Joshi and Khoshboo Upadhyaya alongside him. The film had a story of Divorce and how both the parties struggle to take the custody of their single child. His other film was For Her or to Go in 2017. It was a comedy based drama and Rucha Humnabadkar directed it. He shared the screen with Ali Fazal, Ashish Sharma, Mandeep Singh, Omi Vaidya, and Dhavi Auli. The movie had a very different concept and was the story of Indian immigrants in America and the treatment they get there. It might be an unknown fact, but Amol worked in the film ‘Wake up Sid’ and also was part of the episodic show ‘Andhera’ on colors channel. He also has shared the stage with the talented Tony Alter and has got Silver Medal for his acting in the play ‘Yes My Dear’ by the state ministry of culture in 2010.
