, and more. She did her schooling at Lawrence School, Lovedale and graduated from Jaipur University. She moved to Goldsmiths College, London, to study filming techniques. She was on-board as an assistant producer and producer with BBC’s media house for 15 years. From translating the subtitles for Ramanand Sagar’s Mahabharat to controlling the entire gamut of documentaries, she has come a long way in her career.
Some of her best documentaries include the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty made on 50 years of Indian Independence, The Forgotten Volunteers on the Indian Army in WWII, and Stones of the Raj - a TV series with William Dalrymple. It was in 2002 that Miriam moved to India and laid a booming foundation for Indian film production. Miriam has also written Kerala-leg of True Grit, a BBC documentary series based on four retired sportspeople. Besides this, she has developed a course on ‘Producing’ for the curriculum of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). Though she is mostly away from Kerala, she hasn’t lost touch with her roots.
