After making an award-winning documentary on breast cancer, Tatari felt the urge to venture into commercial cinema. In this regard, he met Atul Pandey and made his debut as a director for the feature film ‘Summer 2007’.

'Kashmeer' was a TV show telecasted on Star Plus in 2003. It was set in the Kashmir Valley and starred Gul Panag in the lead role. The series had Snuta Jaykar, Khulbhushan Kharbad, Nirma Pandey, Neelima Azi, and Farooq Shaikh in supporting roles.
