Narayan K. Sahu is a cinematographer, director, and producer in Bollywood. He was born and brought up in Jharkhand. He stepped into the world of films when he came to Mumbai fifteen years ago. Although he started his career as a director of photography, he was encouraged by his film producer to pursue direction as well. As a cinematographer, he has made certain movies and TV series such as ‘Dalaan Par (2022), Unwanted (2019), and Facebook Wala Pyaar (2019).
He made his directorial debut with the movie ‘Facebook Wala Pyaar’ in 2019. It was a light-hearted romantic comedy to entertain the young generation. The movie was shot in a small town of Jharkhand called ‘Lohardaga.’ With this movie, Narayan wanted to address the issues of social media and youth. He was inspired by various incidents of love stories which began on social media. Moreover, this movie was extremely special for him. Not only because it was his first movie as a director, but also because it was shot in his hometown, Jharkhand where he grew up. Through this film, he has tried to give an authentic representation of Jharkhand to the audience.
