Shahid Hasan is an Indian actor and casting director. He was born in Delhi on 5th February and studied at Aligarh Muslim University’s City High School in Aligarh. He is a progressive believer of Islam. While studying at AMU, he joined the Theatre Club and even bagged the Best Actor title in 1995. Other than just acting, he did exceptionally well at school level extempore and mono acting. Shahid started his career with a role in Hello Dolly Aur Uska Magic Bag that aired on Star Plus in the year 2007. In the meager 30 episodes, he had managed to successfully portray six different characters. He then performed in a TV series for the kids channel Hungama as the character Gappi in Hero, racking up thirty-six episodes of the same.
In the famed show Prithvi Raj Chauhan he played the part of Anmol The conclusion to his acting career was the NDTV Imagine show, Angrezi Me Kehte Hain in which once again he played several characters amounting to as much as twenty roles. During his tenure as an actor, he began working as a casting director. He was fairly successful in this new task and even got associated with icons like Ashutosh Gowarikar and Ram Gopal Verma. He spent much of this time improving his contacts with the industry and all the celebrated people associated to Bollywood. Shahid even managed to branch into various other fields and met experts in health, business, sports, fitness, finance and interior designing.
His grasp over the industry was so strong that he gained the reputation of being able to convince even the busiest and hard to book actors and guests to take up roles in movies he was working with, despite their schedules. In movies like Action Replay, Khele Hum JeeJaanSe, and
, he managed to add an impressive star-studded cast. These projects were before his 2013 film Unforgettable, a romantic drama where he even took on the responsibility as an executive producer. In the 2013 Shahid showed his brilliance by casting
in Ready, which turned out to be a blockbuster hit and made an immense collection at the box office.

He continues to maintain friendly relations with all those around him and is extremely well-connected with the film and TV industry.
