Javid Banday

Javid Banday was born and brought up in Kashmir. He is an internationally acclaimed writer, producer, and director. He completed his postgraduate diploma in Advanced Television and Film Productions (ATVF) from Sheridan College, Canada. He is an international sensation. He is exceptionally experienced in radio, television, and film production. He has worked in numerous state and privately-owned production houses the world over. 

He started his career as Transmission Executive (programs) from All India Radio (Indian Public Service Broadcaster). Then he moved to UAE to serve Dubai Television (One TV Channel). In 2006 he migrated to Canada. He started a media production company in 2010, namely, Mediamark International Corporation as a source in television, advertising, and film. He has worked on 1000 TV shows, 40 ad films, three short films, and six feature films. His directorial debut was “Footprints”. This film was nominated 23 times and won 8 international awards for Best Feature Film, Best Producer, Best Script, Best Filmmaker, and Best Cinematography. His short film “The Stranger” was nominated in the Cannes Film Festival in 2016.

His famous projects are –‘The Immigrant’, ‘Sin Story’, and ‘The Last Candidate’.  The Immigrant has already received the best script awards at the Toronto Film and Script Awards, and Hollywood International Golden Age Festival Awards, and also got nominated at the Jaipur International Film Festival.
