Hemant Gaba is an Indian director, scriptwriter, producer and, screenplay writer. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Delhi Vishwavidhyala and a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Punjab Technical University. He worked as a software engineer for a while before leaping into the cinematic universe. He made his directorial debut in 2011 with a feature film in Hindi known as ‘Shuttlecock Boys. That launched his career as an independent filmmaker.
His documentary ‘An engineered dream,’ which was released in 2018, was widely celebrated. It was nominated for awards in various International film festivals. The documentary received a special mention in Film South Asia. He also directed ‘Japan in Nagaland’ and ‘X: Past is present’ in 2015.
