Sumeet Nagdev

Sumeet Nagdev is the artistic director and founder of Sumeet Nagdev Dance Arts, India’s leading contemporary dance organization. He appeared in the dance reality show Dance Plus season one as a judge and choreographer. As a child, Sumeet learned gymnastics and Mallakhamba, a traditional Indian sport, at Shivaji Park. After graduating in management studies in 2007, Sumeet received a scholarship with the Martha Graham Dance Company for concentrated training in the Graham method. In 2007, he found Sumeet Nagdev Dance Arts (SNDA), a company focused on stage productions, dance films, and commercial and cinematic projects. Out of passion for art, he somehow managed both his company and personal life. Sumeet parallelly learned dance therapy under Tripura Kashyap and Kathak under Pandita Uma Dogra. In 2012, he got shortlisted as an international choreographer and got an opportunity to perform and choreograph at the American Dance Festival.

He became a prominent figure in the dancing circuits and was hailed as ‘The most evocative choreographer’ by the Editor DNA India. Sumeet got praised by his Highness Prince Andrew, The Duke of York for United Nations Round Square Musical Direction. Sumeet has choreographed several dance numbers such as Gandhi is Alive, Talkative Dancer, and Resonate.

Sumeet has Choreographed over six hundred performances for various corporate events such as Tata, Reliance, SCB since 2007. Through SNDA, Sumeet has created over 100 dance professionals and trained over 11000 students world-wide.
