Vrushali Chavan is an Indian actress known for her roles in ‘ABCD (Any Body Can Dance)’ in 2013, ‘ Cheater’ in 2016 and ‘Ishqedariyaan’ in 2015. She also works in the Marathi Film Industry apart from the mainstream Bollywood one. Vrushali was born in Mumbai to Pandurang Chavan and Madhuri Chavan.

She completed her schooling from St. Blaise High School and graduated from Cosmopolitan College with the degree of Bachelors in Fine Art. She also went to the Nalanda Nrityakala Maha vidyalaya to learn different dance forms. She debuted and got famous with the Dance reality show called Dance India Dance in the year 2006.

That was her first show in the Hindi television industry. She did a Marathi reality show named ‘NachaleBindhani’ in 2009, which was for the Bahus of Rajasthan and Khallas Dance Ekach Chance in 2011. After these Marathi reality shows, she moved on to another Hindi one named, Dance Ke superstar in 2012.

She also did “JhalakDikhlaJa” season 4, mentoring Dayanand Shetty, who is known for his CID fame and “JhalakDikhlaJa” season 6, mentoring Aashish Chowdhary. Vrushali participated in Dance India Dance (Little Masters) in 2010 as a choreographer, teaching little kids and preparing them for their dance battles. The real lime light fell on her with the movie ABCD by Remo D’Souza where she played the role of a dancer.

It was a film based on the Dance alone. Ishqedaariyaan was another Bollywood done by her, in the year 2015. She played the character of kaya in this movie. In the year 2016, she acted in the Marathi movie ‘Cheater.’ It was a film based on romance and comedy, and Vrushali played a supporting cast.

Her journey took a turn when she started her work as a choreographer. Himmatwala, Baby, Yaan, Happy New Year, Dabbang 2, Chennai Express, Gabbar, Bajirao Mastani, Ishqedaariyaan, and Anybody Can Dance ABCD are the movies in which she worked as a choreographer.

She has worked with eminent personalities of Bollywood like Deepika Padukone, Shahrukh Khan, Salmaan Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, and Ajay Devgan. Vrushali is an All-rounder. She also worked as a judge in the regional reality shows Nachale Bindhani and Khallas Dance Ekach Chance.

In regional cinema, she worked as a choreographer in some Marathi films, notably 31 Divas, Wada, Cheater, Ti Sadhya Kay Karte, Autograph, Shikari, and Shutter. She also did choreography for ‘Swag Mera Desi’ by Raftar and ‘Akkad Bakkad’ by the famous band Nucleyas, Apart from films, albums, and reality shows, she acted in one of the pan masala commercials too, which was done by Preity Zinta.

Rakhee Sharma is an actor cum theatre artist. She has been known for her notable roles in the play ‘Macbeth’ by National Theatre Live and ‘The peculiar tale of Pablo Picasso and Mona Lisa’ by Lady of Avignon theatre. Rakhee completed her studies with a degree of B.A Honours in acting from Royal Central School specialised in Speech and Drama in 2017. She did a one year course in acting from Fourth Monkey Theatre Company in 2013. But her success story began in India, back in 2006, when she participated in one of the greatest Television Reality Show ‘Dance India Dance.’ On this platform, she got to work with prominent names of Bollywood including Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shilpa Shetty, and Remo D’Souza. It was a short film, directed by Tasneem Choudhary of 16SQ Studios. Talking of her journey, she started her career as a Radio Presenter in Radio Asian Fever 107.3 in 2007. She took interviews of Asian actors and musicians and conducted group discussions with them. In 2009, Rakhee participated in Dance India Dance and added another feather to her hat. She worked as an Assistant Director with Remo D’Souza in one of his Bollywood films named ‘Faltu.’ In the same film, she gave a guest appearance as a gang leader. She also worked on ‘Indian Idol,’ for Sony TV in the year 2010 as Assistant Director. In theatrics, Rakhee notably played the lead role of ‘Oli’ in the play “Sans Salom” under Edinburgh Fringe Company, Directed by Toby Clarke. In 2012, she played the character of Belle in ‘Promised Land’ which was directed by Rod Dixon and comes under Red Ladder Theatre Company. The Empress, Maqtub,From morning to midnight, The Rivals, Their eyes are watching God, The Glass Menagerie, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The cherry Orchid are her famous plays. Rakhee’s performances got critically appreciated by the audience in each one of her role. Among various dance styles, Hip Hop, Belly dance, Bollywood, Laban, Physical theatre, Devising, Clowning and Gaga movements are her forte. She was presented with Laurence Olivier Bursary Award in 2016 for her outstanding skills in acting.


Saajan Singh

Saajan Singh is a dancer, famous for the dance form of B-boying. He started his Career with Dance India Dance. He was in the team of Remo D’Souza called “Remo ke Rangeele.” Saajan was born in Jalandhar although, he has his connections with Nepal and is called the Nepali boy in the industry. His father worked in the Army as asubedar (retd.) and mother is a housewife. He is one of the real gems of the dance industry as he didn’t take any professional training in Dance but learns the art form by watching videos on Youtube and other online platforms. He also bought DVDs for the same. He is famous for the B-boying style of dance and is appreciated by everyone for the same. He took part in Dance India Dance in the year 2009 and was one of the final contestants with Punit, considered to be his friend. After that, Zee Rishtey Awards 2010, was the next platform for him. He performed a brilliant performance there. He is known for his famous head stands and jack kicks. Saajan acted in one of the first Hindi movies to be based on the Dance ‘ABCD (Any Body Can Dance)’ and played the role of a dancer. Remo D’Souza directed the movie, and Lauren Gottlieb was one of the lead cast. Punit Pathak and Salman Yusuf Khan were also part of the film. He has also worked as choreographer and Body Doubles in Bollywood movies. He acted as a Body Double for Salman Khan in his film ‘Tiger ZindaHai’ in the year 2017. Saajan body doubled Salman in the wolf chase sequence where he fought with the wolves. It was a risky stunt, but Saajan aced it like his dance performances and got applauded for it. He again worked with Salman as a dance trainer in Race 3 which released in 2018. He went to Abu Dhabi for the shoot of the same movie. Saajan with his friend Jack Samuel Gill took the initiative of popularizing the dance style of B-buying in the country. They started in the city of Chandigarh and spread the message that B-boying is not only about jumping and kicking. Instead, it’s a dance form full of grace and attention. “As the dance has got too many flips, cart wheels, and kicks, people confuse it with stunts, which is not at all true” is the thought of this street dancer.
