Navjot Singh Sidhu was born on October 20, 1963 in Patiala, Punjab, India. Navjot belongs to the family of Sardar Bhagwant Singh Sidhu of Patiala. He was often called as Sixer Sidhu or Sheri Paaji. He was a former cricket player and hoping that his son, Navjot will also be a top-class cricket player, he groomed it in one of the top cricketers in India. He was also one of the Parliament member from Amritsar (Lok Sabha constituency) in 2004 under Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. When he resigned as a cricket player, he became a commentator on TV, and enter politics. Then, in 2006, Navjot was convicted with a homicide case because of a road rage accident, then gave up his political career. However, Navjot’s sentence was suspended by the Supreme Court in India. He got the by-election for the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat. He won over the State Finance Minister Surinder Singla garnering a 77,626 votes. 

Navjot was also the president of the World Jat Aryan Foundation. He was married to Navjot Kaur Sidhu, one of the members of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. Navjot is also eligible for becoming a lawyer at the Punjabi University. He once promised that he will never set his foot on the soil of Patiala and will stick in the Amritsar as long as he is representing the people there. He did not come back even when his father-in-law died and when his friend, Judge Vijay Singh was cremated. But he visited in Patiala after his resignation from his seat.

Navjot began his career as a commentator in 2001, when India visited Sri Lanka on the takeshis castle sport. Later on, he worked as a commentator in ESPN Start Sports. He became popular for his one-liners, which people called as “Sidhuisms”. He also worked in Ten Sports, and became a cricket analyst on some Indian news channel. He was once a judge on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, and performed in programs like, Funjabi Chak De. He also performed in the Kareena Kareena TV series, and became a contestant in Big Boss 6, but he had to quit on the show due to his political grounds. He currently appears on the Comedy Nights with Kapil as a permanent guest.

Mushtaq Shiekh is a renowned film commentator, author and an eminent screenplay writer. Mushtaq was born on April 29, 1975 and currently resides in Bandra, Mumbai, India together with his parents, sisters, his two brothers-in-law, his nephew and niece. He was given credits for the screenplay of the Hindi romantic film, Om Shanti Om in 2007 which was directed by Farah Khan. He also wrote a book entitled, The Making of Om Shanti Om which gives an intuition on the making of the film and what’s been happening behind the scene. He is also the screenplay writer of the films, Billu Barber in 2009, Ra.One in 2011 and Rangrezz in 2013. He also wrote the book, The Making of Asoka and a book entitled, Still Reading Khan, a biography of the famous actor, Shah Rukh Khan, which was followed by Shah Rukh Can, the second edition of Khan’s biography. Mushtaqh also wrote another book entitled, Devdas – The Indian Hamlet. He started his television career when Ekta Kapoor, one of his close friends, pushed him to do something in television when the time that television didn’t get the kind of respect that it was receiving now. He wrote various popular soap operas like Kahiin To Hoga on STAR Plus, Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat on Sony TV, K. Street Pali Hill on STAR Plus, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii on STAR Plus and Kasauti Zindagii Kay on STAR Plus. He started to be a scriptwriter with an hour episodes of the series, Rishtey and Zee TV’s Saturday Night Suspense. His contributions to the television industry gained him accolades and improved the TRPs of the above shows. In no time, he was able to carve his good name in the television world. Later on, because of his achievements, he became the Creative Head of Sahara One channel. From there, he started a new chapter of his life and changed the destiny of various television products of the channel. He also made special appearances in the films Main Hoon Na, Luck By Chance, Om Shanti Om and Kya Kool Hain Hum. He made the concept in popular shows like Mata Ki Chowki, Mr. and Mrs. Mishra and Ganesh Leela. He has been an essential part of the television and film industry for more than a decade now. In 2011, he did a small role in another Ekta Kapoor’s romantic teledrama soap, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. Besides being a writer and an actor, Mushtaq is also the associate producer of this year’s crime drama film, Gulaab Gang which stars Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla. Because of all the success that Mushtaq is bringing to his co-stars, he was called as the ‘Lucky Mascot’ by many of the big names in Bollywood.
