Mrudhula Sridharan

Mrudhula Sridharan is a Chartered Accountant and classical dancer based in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom. She hails from the city of Chennai in Tamil Nadu and has been learning the art of Bharatanatyam for more than eighteen years. She has been professionally performing Bharatanatyam for the last eight years in solo performances and various groups. She learned Bharatanatyam from Archarya Choodamani Kalaimamani and Smt. Krishnakumari Narendran. For the past few years, she has also been training young girls under the guidance of her guru.

She has performed on various stages in Tamil Nadu, such as Pillayarpatti, a show that was screened on Doordarshan and Chidambaram on the day of Shivarathiri in 2021, and is also available to watch on YouTube. She has also performed in various Sabhas during the Margazhi season, including the Hyderabad Tamil Sangam. During the Covid-19 lockdown, she made an effort to teach Bharatanatyam and performed on online platforms. 

Mrudhula studied Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Madras. Thereafter, she started preparing at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 2016. Then, in January 2023, she started pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration at the Aston University in London. Although she’s a trained classical dancer, but in the field of Business, she started her journey in Aug 2018 when she did an internship as a Senior Tax Analyst at the Grant Thornton Bharat LLP in Chennai.

During this period, she played a pivotal role in conducting due diligence for M&A deals, showcasing expertise in indirect tax laws and regulations, and analyzed the intricate tax structures to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, ensuring flawless execution. She also led the preparation of health checkups for a prominent manufacturing company, orchestrating a smooth and efficient process, and organized the health checkup procedures while ensuring strict adherence to pertinent regulations and industry standards.

After that, Mrudhula worked as a Tax Executive at the House of Shipping in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where she was responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with corporate and indirect taxation laws across all regions of India. This involved overseeing more than ten registrations and navigating the complex tax regulations in each region. In January 2023, she moved to Birmingham to pursue an MBA, but at the same time, she started working as a Senior Accountant at the JSK Sales Company Limited and demonstrated expertise in recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and executing bookkeeping responsibilities to efficiently manage creditors and debtors, overseeing invoice processing and resolving payment discrepancies. 

Besides being passionate about dancing, Mrudhula also raises concerns about social issues. She has served as a volunteer and fundraiser and raised twenty thousand rupees for the eradication of polio while working with the Rotary Club in school. She has also been volunteering at Teens in AI, an organization, which is primarily dedicated to nurturing young talent in artificial intelligence. Moreover, she is highly skilled in Business Development, Auditing, Entrepreneurship, Management, Collaborative Problem Solving, Tax Preparation, Strategic Thinking, Debt Financing, Time Management, etc.
