Medha Yodh is a well-known brilliant Indian classical dancer. Medha was born on the 31st of July in the year 1927. Her place of birth is Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She grew up in a family of Brahmins. Medha is popular for her brilliance in Indian Bharatanatyam. She got an interest in dancing when she was a kid. She got fascinated by the movement and the poise and grace of this art form.
Medha has done her Bachelors of Science from the renowned University of Bombay. She continued with her Masters and did it from the Standford University, California. Medha, during her initial years, got to learn a lot about different art forms she traveled a lot and explored. Medha also became an ardent devotee of one of the finest dancers of her time Tanjore Balasaraswati. At a stage of her life, she became a member of UCLA in the year 1976. Where her preachings focused on the Tanjore Balasaraswati's teachings.
She taught the style and virtues. Medha is also known for creating a film titled Garba-Ras: A Glimpse into Gujarati Culture, highlighting the beauty of the Indian Culture dance Garba. Medha was such a talented and one of the gems that the Indian classical dance culture could ever have. It was an unfortunate day when we lost her. Medha Yodh died on the 11th of July in the year 2007 at Muilenburg’s. Medha was also famous for her open nature and a very easy way of dealing with things. She was a source of inspiration for many young budding talents.
