Geeta Kapoor is a renowned choreographer who is judging various dancing competition shows on Indian television.

Geeta Kapoor is a popular television personality who started her career as a choreographer for stage shows, Bollywood movies, and television programs. She began as a choreographer at the age of fifteen when she joined the successful Bollywood choreographer who mentored her. Geeta Kapoor worked with Farah Khan as an assistant choreographer in various Bollywood projects, including Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, , Kal Ho Na Ho, and . She also got some projects as a lead choreographer. She worked individually in shows, such as Fiza, Asoka, Saathiya, , Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, Aladin, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, and Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi. In 2013, she got the opportunity to choreograph at the Pepsi Indian Premier League 2013's opening ceremony.

She appeared on television as a dancing judge for the program Dance India Dance in 2008. This dancing competition television program was telecasted on Zee TV. Since then, she has been judging all seasons of Dance India Dance and fellow choreographer judgers Terrence Lewis, Remo D’Souza, , and Rajiv Surti. In 2013, she also worked as a judge for the dancing television competition series India’s Dancing Superstar, which was aired on Star Plus.

Geeta Kapur or Geeta Kapoor or Geeta Ma is an Indian dance choreographer, dancer, and judge in the dance show. She was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on 5th July 1973. She did her schooling in Mumbai only. She is a great versatile dancer. She has a great interest in Hindi dance styles, so she took training in Indian Classical Dancing. As she is a choreographer, her students usually call her “Geeta Ma.”

She joined the troupe of Farah Khan. Farah Khan is also a renowned choreographer. Geeta joined her group at the age of 15. They did many dance numbers in Bollywood together. She assisted Farah in many films like Dil Toh Pagal Hain, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Mohabbatein, Kal Ho Na Ho, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, etc. Geeta was also the background dancer in many songs like “Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aaye” from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, “Gori Gori” from Main Hoon Na, etc. She also did the choreography of many Bollywood songs. Even as a good choreographer, she choreographed many award ceremonies, even Pepsi IPL 2013.

Geeta got fame from the dance reality show “Dance India Dance” telecast on ZEE TV. She was appointed as a judge on the show in 2008. She made a group of contestants known as the “Geeta Ki Gang.” This show was so popular at that time. As a good dancer and choreographer, she taught her students many forms of dance style. The show was so popular that the channel continued the show by making its seasons. After the first season's success, the channel launched the show in different categories like DID Superkids, DID Li’l Masters, DID Doubles, etc. She worked with other choreographers in the same show like Terrence Lewis, Remo D'Souza, Marzi Pestonji, Rajiv Surti, etc. She is the only judge who is never changed in a single season. From the first season till now, she got more love, more fame, and more appreciation for her work.

In 2013, Geeta appeared in DID Dance Ka Tashan. In 2014, she judged the DID Little Masters Season 3 on Zee TV. In 2015, she was seen in Dance India Dance Super Mom Season 2.
