Harun Robert

Rob aka Harun Robert is an artist and television anchor. He is a television personality known for his creative shows based on children. He specializes in music, dance, and artistic skills. He is a trained applied artist. He is known to possess ultimate creative and craft skills. Rob is a well-known face among children of all age groups. He is famous for his show M.A.D. His spectacular paintings and craft work have impressed parents so much that even they follow his show. He is fondly called the ‘Art guru.’

Rob is a graduate from National Institute of Design, Ahmadabad. He started working in Mumbai for animation studios. He worked on animation films, 2-D videos and designed motion pictures. After this, he was selected as a presenter in an audition by Pogo. He was the anchor for the show M.A.D - Music, Art, and Dance. This show was a distinct concept of art to enhance the creativity in young children. It had a variety of art, crafts, sketches and painting. Rob used to make useful and presentable things out of different materials.

He gave a new meaning to art. The fascinating sketches and crafted items made by him gathered the attention of children nationwide. Be it the miraculous big art, graffiti designs, pottery, best out of waste, moving pictures or animation, he taught it all. Many celebrities featured in this program too. Rob presented the show along with anchor Cheenu and Candy. M.A.D was a fun filled and interactive show which utilized the imagination to build unique items.

The show successfully encouraged kids to get involved in such activities. Many kids were attracted to be a part of the show with Rob. Due to him, the show became the longest-running creative show for kids. Its eighth season was launched in 2010. The show has nine National and International Award to its credit. It was consecutively awarded the global Indian TV Awards in 2007 and 2008. M.A.D: ‘Make it easy’ was another version of it. He was the part of music series ‘Dewarists’ by MTV.

The show starred musicians and artist from all over India to bring a musical and visually creative theme. His passion for art is evident in all shows that he works upon. He worked for Sony TV label in 2014. The mad learning school program was an initiative that had fruitful outcome due to him. Rob is presently involved with workshops for ‘Canvas Laugh Club.’

This association provides summer workshops to children on creativity. He owns a studio in Mumbai. He has an online art series named ‘Mad Stuff with Rob’ where he teaches how to make ‘DIY Items’ and creative products with unique ideas. It is featured on YouTube. He has his personalized vlog ‘KalaGhoda.’ According to Rob ‘creativity needs to be nurtured’ and it can be done by exploring all fields of art.
