He completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Kanpur Campus, and graduated with a degree in journalism from Jamia Millia Islamia AJK MCRC in New Delhi. He began his journalism career with JAIN TV. In 2013 he got an opportunity to work as an Anchor and Caster at News24 TV. In 2019 he started working for a Hindi news channel called Republic Bharat and was an Anchor for a show titled ‘ Rashtra Ke Naam’. Syed is married to Namrata, who is an anchor and RJ by profession.
