Hrishita Bhattacharyya is an experienced Indian Story and Script Writer, Storyteller, and Concept Developer. She is from Kolkata, West Bengal. She pursued her higher secondary studies in Humanities at Patha Bhavan, where she ranked first in Humanities in the West Bengal Board in 2008. Then, she completed her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Sociology(Major), Film Studies and Political Science from St. Xavier’s College in 2011. She also pursued a Master’s degree in Sociology at Jadavpur University from 2011 to 2013. Hrishita has a demonstrated history of working in the broadcast media industry and is skilled in Academic Journals, Advertising, Copywriting and Concept Development. She has experience working as a Story Screenwriter for major producers such as Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, Star TV Network, Odisha Television Ltd. and Acropolis Entertainment Private Limited.
Hrishita Bhattacharyya has mainly worked in the Bangla TV industry on television series like Gaatchora, Ogo Nirupama, , Raikishori, Raashi, Ardhangini, Milon Titi, Irabatir Chupkotha and Dhrubatara. She has also worked on various sociological projects like The Club Hopping Nights: A Sociological Study of the Night Club Culture Among the Youth of Kolkata, An Assessment of the Rehabilitation of the Lake Colony or Rail Colony Slum Dwellers in Nonadanga, Kolkata, Comics’ and ‘Bangaliana’: A Sociological Study of the Bengali Culture and Society Portrayed through the Bengali Comics’ and its Changing Dimensions in Contemporary Times, and more. Hrishita has also achieved various honours and awards such as the National Scholarship for Academic excellence, issued by the Indian Government-Ministry of Human resource in January 2009, and a Certificate of Merit for securing 1st position in B.A. Sociology Honours 1st year, by St. Xavier's College, Kolkata in January 2011.
