Tathagata Mukherjee was born on May 15, 1985. He is a Bengali actor and filmmaker residing in Kolkata. Tathagata attended the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama High School in Baranagore. He went to Rabindra Bharati University to study drama. Since 2005, he has been performing professionally in theatre. In 2007, he was cast in Laal Ronger Duniya, which launched his career as a film actor. He debuted on television in 2008 as a hero in the daily soap Sada Patay Kalo Daag.
