The actor was born in West Bengal, India. Payal De, who is equally recognised for her involvement in Bengali television productions, is his wife. They appeared in the telefilm 'Sokul Kata Dhonnokore' as co-actors. He is currently filming Sona Rodher Gaan, his forthcoming show.
