Arpita Ghosh is a politician and theatre performer from India who represents West Bengal in the Rajya Sabha. She was born on July 10th, 1966 in Kolkata, West Bengal, and received her B.Sc. from the University of Calcutta's Scottish Church College. She was the 16th Lok Sabha's representative for West Bengal's Balurghat (Lok Sabha constituency). As an All India Trinamool Congress candidate, she won the 2014 general election in India. At the age of 31, Arpita Ghosh started her career in the theatre in 1998. She worked in both acting and directing in the early 2000s. She enrolled as a theatrical student at Pancham Ved Charjashram in January 2000. She began working with Pancham Vaidic after completing the course of a year.
Ha Ja Ba Ra La, a children's play, was directed by Arpita for the first time in 2003. Later, she oversaw numerous plays. She performed in other groups as well. She continued to make contributions as a theatre artist even after entering politics and winning the Loksabha Election. She oversaw the direction of Pancham Vaidic's "Duto Din" in 2014. She adapted, wrote, and directed Pancham Vaidic's play "Karubasana" in 2015.
