Bengali Movie Actress Anindita Bose
Written By - Team Nettv4u
Anindita Bose is not the typical Bengali girl from Kolkata. In fact her roots have been in Mumbai, where she was born and brought up. Her mother however had some association with the industry as a dubbing artist for Zee Bangla. Although she spent her formative years in Mumbai, she kept her links with her roots by watching a whole lot of Bengali cinema. Her first foray in the industry was however through the route of television, when she auditioned for an upcoming serial of Star Jalsha. She felt fortunate to be selected after the audition, and although she played the subsidiary role of the elder sister Nalini in her first serial “BouKotha Kao”, her smart acting drew the attention of the audience for this vastly popular serial. Her association with Star Jalsha continued through four more serials, in each of which she distinguished herself, coming off as a smart young girl, though in none of them, except “Ghare Pherar Gaan” she act as the leading actress. In this serial, her handling of the role of Esha, a modern young widow, having to counter her in laws, had been very sensitively portrayed by her. Her role of a young investigative journalist also drew appreciation in the serial “Gaaner Opaarey”,“ghost directed” by the redoubtable Rituporno Ghosh, on the lively topic of handling Tagore’s legacy in modern Bengali society. Having been noticed for her smart and sensitive acting in TV serials, she found her way to Bengali cinema, being cast initially in some offbeat and “arty” films like “Clerk” and “Khasi Kata”. “Clerk” was her dream comes true as she got the opportunity to act with Prosenjit Chatterjee The only son of Biswajit Ranjitkumar Chatterjee wa >> Read More... , the long reigning matinee idol of Bengali cinema. “Hemlock Society”was another offbeat film, in which she acted, but she got noticed more in “Bhooter Bhabishyat”, although it was a short role in which she appeared as a young movie production professional. Her career in TV and cinema has taken a slight hibernation after her high profile marriage with her co-star of “Ghare Pherar Gaan”, Gaurav Chatterjee, who coincidentally also happens to be the grandson of the legendary Bengali actor, Uttam Kumar Uttam Kumar was matinee idol of Bengali cinema.
