Bhaba Pagla was born on 17 October 1902 at Amta in Manikganj, near Dhaka, a district in the Bengal Province of British India (now in Bangladesh). He was also known as Bhabendramohan Chaudhury. He belongs to a reputable family of minor landlords of the Saha class, and the family’s surname was Chowdhury. At the same time, Bhaba achieved his title Pagla, the mad, a mad by the affection for God. Bhaba's father, Gajendra Mohan Chowdhury, and his mother Gayasundari Devi, had improved them mainly in the way of dedication and had been divined by several gurus and sadhus.

He was happily married to Smt. Shaibalini Devi, and he had been the father of three children. He was dead against the celebrity of his prophet ability: he made use to say, if people get to know about me, I will become cow chip. The supporter of Bhaba Pagla transmits many stories and evidence of the supernatural forces of their god. One was an art of Goddess Kali, which Bhaba had drawn himself when appearing before him. The Divine Mother offered herself as an artist and instructed him to make a portrait of her. The wonder took place at the crematorium beside village Amta, the local village of this stage, which he left after the independence of India. Alleviating a cancer patient was another example of the magical force of Bhaba Pagla.

Mr. Nandalal Das had cancer, and the mortal illness had arisen to an advanced stage. On the sure way to death, he came around the great Bhaba, who healed him without any medicine but his magical force of the mind. After getting a new life, Nandalal became an earnest disciple and devotee to Bhaba Pagla. He considered him as his inner lord and gave him to BHOBAR HORBOLA MANDIR-DIGHA, for the next fifteen years, till his natural death on 13 Oct 2006. Behind his magical impact, Bhaba Pagla is more famous for contributing to Bengali folk society.

The music he writes is famed all around Bengal, India, and Bangladesh. Many devotional songs have been published in records by a research group affiliated with the French government, and his works are now subject to the interest of many research scholars. The Bangladesh Bengali Academy of Dakha's publication department launched a life story of Bhaba Pagla JIBAN O GAN by name. As an artist, Bhaba was a genius, and his talent expressed diversity in many subjects like music, painting, sketching, and needlework. He had assumed order in doing many tools. Bhaba could play Harmonium with the support of his elbow and hand without using a single finger.
