Siladitya Sen is a Kolkata-based Indian cinema critic, journalist, analyst, and jury member. He hails from Kolkata, West Bengal, and primarily works in Bengali movies. He contributes to the "Anandabazar Patrika," a Bengali newspaper. Several prizes have been bestowed upon him, including the "National Film Award" for Best Writing on Cinema and the "FCCI Award" for Best Debut Film at the HBFF. He was also part of the jury at the "Mumbai International Film Festival." He is the writer of "Mrinal Sener Film Jatra" and co-author of "Indian Film Culture: Indian Cinema." "Mrinal Sen-er Filmyatra," a book by veteran cinema analyst Siladitya Sen, takes the audience on a journey through Mrinal Sen's career.

Siladitya's work includes dialogues, opinions, and conversations throughout the decade. He had critically researched and critiqued cinematic aesthetics in the book. He believed that Mrinal attempted to falsify the beauty of art in his films. He examined "Amar Bhuvan, Mahaprithibi, and Kandahar" to gain significance. Regularly held International film festivals are different from rare regional film festivals. A variety of regional films need a platform to flourish. "Bengaluru Bengali Kannada Film" was well-received in its first edition. The second edition featured Bengali and Kannada films. Well-known cinema critics like Saibal Chatterjee, Siladitya Sen, and Premendra Mazumder organized the event. Siladitya served as a member of "Fipresci - India."

He was part of the jury panel for the "Indian Panorama of International Festival" and the "Writing of Cinema." In addition, he worked on and contributed to short documentaries and animated films. The book "Cinemar Swar o Sanket," he wrote, received the prestigious "Book of The Year" award from the Bengal Film Association. He also wrote three additional books, including "Kichu Kajkarma Kichu Bencha Thaka," "Mrinal Sener Film Jatra," and "Sankhya Hiker Chalachitra: Asahishnuta Khatiyan."
