Sumana Mukherjee is a producer, director, and story writer in the Bengali film industry. She was born in a rural area of Jharkhand. She is known for Dreamz: The Movie (2013), In pursuit of Truth (2013), and Eti (2008) She has been passionate about film making and so she left her advertising career stepping into film production in 2007 with a Bengali movie, ‘Eti’. She also founded an audio-video production house called Pixel International. She has made many short movies and documentaries, produced 5 feature films and directed one. Some of her works as a producer are Eti, Atin Ela and Charadhaya, Voyage, Towards Life, and A Missing Smile. She has been nominated for NETPAC Awards and won The Golden Camera Award and Global Cinema Award. She is also an organizer of Culture Curry to promote local talents in the field of arts. She has held the position of chairperson in the Assocham Ladies League for Kolkata Chapter. Her debut movie was screened both nationally and internationally. She is also a chair holder for the National Committee of Films and chairperson of AIFDO. She was the Festival Director and Curator for ISFF India 2016 (International Spiritual Film Festival India 2016).
