Pradipta Bhattacharyya, an Indian director, producer, editor, story writer, and screenwriter, was born on 4 December 1978 in Berhampore, West Bengal. In 1995, he went to J N Academy, Berhampore, and in 2004 to Roopkala Kendro. He has two brothers - Debangshu Bhattacharyya and Pramit Bhattacharyya. He lives in Kolkata and is seen more in Bengali Film Industry. With his aspiration for filmmaking, Bhattacharyya has completed fifteen years in the film industry gloriously. His interest in filmmaking took him to the world of documentaries, short films, feature films, and animation films.

He started his career in films in 2006 with 'You May Not Believe.' He was both the director and screenplay for it. Then in 2009, he was the writer of Habul & Co. This web series revolves around the life of Pradipta's friend who used to work in a rural school. It portrays the story of a jobless man who was a tutor. The shooting took place in Nadia, West Bengal. The same place was renamed Birohi in the movie, and it is the same village where Bakita Byaktigato had its shooting. Pradipta always tried to maintain emotions that are true to the heart and is conscious about the characters of his films. They are no less than real ones.
