Sekar das is a director, Producer, Scriptwriter, Playwriter, and actor in Bengali Film Industry and had worked on 20 Short Films. He started his career in acting, and later, worked as a writer. He had written multiple scripts. Sekhar had also won National and International awards. He also worked as a director. He had worked as a presenter, writer, and director. Das films focus on Mysteries and thrill. He has adapted four classics of Anton Chekov. Das worked on a travelogue program for three years. The program covered different places from Asia and other continents. With Cinema Sekhar had also worked in theatre arts. Das has directed many plays like Condemned of Altona, Can’t play won’t play, Visarjan, and many more. Some of Sekhar’s famous films include Jagojog, A film based on the Novel of Rabindranath Tagore. Das was born on 24 November 1954.
He graduated from the University of Calcutta and received various certificates in Cinema streams. Sekhar Das had a personal interest in screenplay, writing, and acting, and had learned scripting art from Jean Claude Carrier. He joined the Television and Cinema profession after leaving the association with an insurance company. Das had honored with Best Director, art director, screenplay, actor, and story award from BFJA. The film Keantikaal received the best regional film national Award in 2005 and Film Kaler Rakhal received the best achievement and sound design from Ahmedabad International.
