Ramananda Sarkar, also known as Raman, is a famous Cinematographer, painter, and Visualizer who works predominately in the Marathi Industry. He completed his Bachelor's in Media Science, and Fine/Studio Arts at Techno Main - Salt Lake College from 2005 to 2008. Then, he did his post-graduation in Film Editing at Roopkala Kendro from 2008 to 2010. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Motion Picture Photography from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.

He started his career in 2010 as a freelancer and second assistant cameraman at Humburg Film School. He worked in multiple roles, such as assistant to DOP in Karma Pictures, and The Film Café, before getting his break at Recyclewala Films Pvt. Ltd. He worked there as a Cinematographer for over a year. Then, he worked as a Director of Photography at Addatimes Media Private Limited for a year. In 2017, he assumed the post of Director of Photography at Hoichoi Channel. In 2019, he shifted to the ZEE5 OTT Platform as Director of Photography. In 2024, he joined Antilock Films as Director of Photography.

He is best known for his work in Feluda, TV Series in 2017, Saat No. Shanatan Sanyal in 2019, The Fourth Direction in 2015, and Aligarh in 2015. Some of his other films are Cat People in 2012, Pocket Maar, a TV Mini-Series in 2017, and Saat No. Shanatan Sanyal in 2019, The Fourth Direction in 2015, Newborns, a short film in 2014, Raju, a short film in 2012, and many more.
