Shakti Thakur was an Indian actor, comedian, and playback singer, born in 1947 in Calcutta, Bengal Presidency, British India. He is a prominent actor and has acted in many Bengali and Hindi films. He is also known for lending his voice in several movies. He gave the cinema many hit movies, some of them being Yeh Desh (1984), Aagoon (1988), Sajanj Go Sajani (1994), etc. Thakur spent his formative years as a teacher.
