Ranitendranath Tagore is a vocal artist and an actor who works mainly in the Bengali film industry. He was the great-grandson of Rabindranath Tagore. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the Presidency College, Bengaluru in 1999 and did his Postgraduate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 2001, and his doctorate in Biochemistry from Yale University in 2006. He was a post-doctoral associate at Harvard University, from 2007-2009 and an associate scientific manager at Biocon, Bangalore from 2009 to 2017. He was a lead investigator at Syngene International Limited, Bengaluru, from 2018-2020, and he was also an analytical consultant and consultant at Stelis Biopharma, Bangalore in 2020.
He has been an independent consultant at Molecule AI and Protein Advanced Analytics, since 2023. As a vocal artist, he has performed in Bengali, Hindi, English, Marathi, and Tamil languages. In his young age, he was trained by Sri Rama Pada Nandi who was a disciple of many illustrious teachers including Sri Krishna Chandra Dey. Ranit also performed solo on television and performed in some events, too. He also conducted music classes and workshops for singing talents looking to explore different genres. He acted in the Bengali movie called “Goopy Bagha Phire Elo” as a kid.
