Pijush Bandyopadhyay is a Bangladeshi actor, director, and playwright who mainly works in a stage, television, and film industry. He was a managing director of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC). He was born on September 23, 1950 in Faridpur district. After completing his school education, he went to the Government Rajendra College, Faridpur, Bangladesh to pursue his bachelor degree. He then did masters from Mass Communication and Journalism department at University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He loves to enjoy travelling. He married Jayosree Kar Jaya, who is a theatre and television actress. Pijush Bandyopadhyay began his acting career through the theatre troupe titled “Bahubachan” during his younger days. Later on, he worked with the “Natyachakra.”

He was a founding member of the Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation. Moreover, he also worked as a professional journalist for a long time, and edited the Daily Lal Sabuj in 1990-94. He has been writing regular articles and columns in national & international media since 1986. Also, he was the Bangladeshi person who represented Bangladesh in Cairo International Film Festival.
