Mizu Ahmed, born Mizanur Rahman, is a veteran actor and producer. He is well-known for his negative roles in Bengali films. Mizu was born on 17 November 1953 in Khustia, Khulna Division. He joined theatre at quite a young age to pursue his interest and dream. As time passed, he joined a local drama theatre group to polish his skills. 1978 was the year that marked the start of his exciting and interesting career. He made his debut in this year with Trishna. His skills and performance soon established him as one of the most known actors for the role of villain in the Dhallywood film industry.
In the coming years, he acted in many films like Mahanagar (1981), Jhar (2000), Big Boss (2003), Baba Amar Baba (2008), Kajer Manush (2009), Koti Takar Prem (2011), Age Jadi Jantam Tui Habi Por (2014), and a lot more. For his supporting role in the film Traash (1992), he won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor. In 2010, he was president of the Bangladesh Film Artists Association. Apart from working in multiple films, he produced films for his banner, Friends Movies. A renowned actor and a fantastic person, he died at 63 on 27 March 2017 due to cardiac arrest.
