Masud Sezan is a telefilm and television series director from Bangladesh who has directed some of the country's most well-liked shows. Sezan was born in the Joypurhat District and at a young age left his home but returned after facing multiple hardships. At the height of the anti-autocracy movement in 1987, Sezan got active in theater and wrote and directed street plays as part of the revolution against autocracy. He came to Dhaka in 1990 to pursue his further studies. As a result of his prominence as a reciter, Sezan founded and served as president of two significant recitation ensembles, ‘Shwrokolpon abritti chokkro’ and ‘Shwroshilon abritti Academy.’
Sezan is also the first editor of the first monthly magazine dedicated to Bangladeshi recitation, Abrittilok. For a while, he served as ‘Bangladesh Abritti Shomannay Parishod’s’ publishing secretary.
