Arun Chowdhury is a renowned filmmaker and writer in the Bangladeshi film and television industry. He is also known as a famous author and journalist. This multi-talented man was born in Bangladesh. He started his career as a director in a television serial named “Chhoto Chhoto Dheu." He continued his direction in the TV serials “Ondho Sikari," "Atto-Prokash," and “Kagojer Phul,” through which Chowdhury gained so much popularity. Arun Chowdhury wrote scripts and directed around 900 plays. Some of them are “Manush” (1990), "Sporsho, "Onurag, "Priyodorshini,” and many more.
Most of them are romantic plays. Arun’s first tele-fiction, “Sudhu Tomar Jonno," aired on BTV in 1994. He has also written one telefilm called "Araal." After direction, he established his identity as a journalist. His wife, Chayanika Choudhury, is also a famous director who has directed over 80 plays and two serials. In 2018, Arun directed his first film, “Alta Banu,” for Impress Telefilm Production. "Mayabati," one of his best works, was released in 2019 under his direction. Both films are women-centric, which became admirable and popular among the audience.
