Tamil Web Series Topless

Topless is a Tamil web series broadcast on the Zee 5 channel. The story starts with the introduction of the gang named Top, Left, Right, Base, and Straight, as their code names. All these members are criminals. All of these members are specialized in one skill or another. Such as Base is the chemistry geek in their group. He was making a chemical named ‘Nitric Oxide’ also known as ‘The Laughing Gas’ in a school lab. This gas would be used to weaken the enemy as they would not be able to stop laughing. Straight is the muscle of their group. He is a greedy man but uses his muscle to protect his team. Left is the notorious but extremely useful technique of the group. He makes drones and other machines which help the team to spy. Right is the pro-driver of the group. He was once a racing champion but lost everything because of his drinking, becoming a part of this group. He also gives driving lessons. Their plan to rob the band failed as all of them get caught. They used nitric oxide to render the manager and the guards unconscious. They pour acid to open a lock. But they were caught by the police. The gang does not say anything despite the police beating them mercilessly. The police just find four contacts saved in their captor’s phone. Top is still not released from the police station. After three days Base, Left, Right, and Straight receive a box in which there is a phone, an animal’s mask, along with the place and time to reach for another mission. They are all surprised as they promised to not reveal their original identity and to always call each other by the code names, after they got arrested, as a safety measure. They blame each other for their unsuccessful bank theft.

Actually, boss ‘Top’ has got released and is summoning them for another mission. But the other four have promised not to take the illegal route again. Top pursues them to take a no-risk job for them so that he can escape from the country, as he has run away from prison. He threatens to shoot them all if they refuse to this job. Straight poses as a plumber in a club. He beats the watchman and lets his friends enter the club wearing animal masks. They loot the money from the guests. But they end up killing a waiter which was not a part of the plan. Top get impressed by this Chinese waiter’s performance as he fought bravely.

The next part of the job is worth three million. They have to loot Helena Wellesly from Britain. They have to divert her car and loot her money. They make all the necessary arrangements. But their plan fails, as the person who had to lead the car in the wrong way, wants more money from Top, and the car does a U-turn. They change their plan too accordingly but Top gets killed by the car which was carrying Helena. ‘Top’ was busy looking at the drone when the car strikes him. Helena wants to buy her grandfather’s painting so as to restore his legacy and can do anything to buy it, so she hires people to covert her Dollars into rupees illegally. Now the team has to work without Top. There is a story behind the topless painting which Helena is not revealing. The team also has to perform the third task without ‘Top’ ie, now they have become ‘Top-less’. They face many difficulties. Would they be able to handle their team without Top and carry out the left-over mission?
