, and Manokar in the lead role. The serial starts with protagonist Soundaravalli, the protagonist of the show, appearing as a female member of a community called Devadasi.
She has donated her life to God and temple upliftment. She is working hard towards achieving this goal. The antagonist of the show is also a female named Akilandeshwari, played by Sudha. She has more traditional thinking. She hates the way the protagonist works and opposes her in every way. She thinks that the only way to do something in her way and no other way is perfect. Soundaravalli opposes her in every step, and they both fight for being supreme. She thinks that God can only be pleased in a traditional way, and one can not change it.
