Friendship is one of the most natural relationships in the world. While one can easily become friends with someone, the hardest part is maintaining the bond for a long period. The challenging task is to keep other relationships out of this. This story focuses on the friendship between Srinivasan Iyer and Sethupathi. Though they roam around as inseparable friends, their families try to break their friendship in many ways. In particular, Sethupathi's family members are keen on destroying the affection shared between them. Srinivasan Iyer has two sons and a daughter. Among them, Rangan is his favorite son. The reason is owed to his obedient nature. He never disagreed with his father on any matter. He blindly follows his father. So, Srinivasan always looks out for his son. But the secret hidden is the hideous love affair between Rangan and the pot-making girl. In as much as she is of a lower caste than Iyer, Rangan hides this matter in fear of his father.
Meanwhile, a relative of Sethupathi named Pandi finds out about this. He also has a longtime desire to ruin their friendship. So, he passes this information on to Sethupathi. Knowing about Srinivasan, Sethupathi feels frightened and requests Pandi to sort out this issue smoothly. But Pandi humiliates the girl's whole family. The girl feels devastated and commits suicide. Pandi fears for his life and lies to Rangan about his death. He falsely states that Sethupathi and Srinivasan are responsible for her death. Rangan loses his composure. He couldn't think right and burned himself to punish his father. Srinivasan turns heartbroken. His family blames Sethupathi. Srinivasan becomes furious and vows never to forgive him. While this happens, Sethupathi finds the secret of Srinivasan having an illegitimate child, Nandini. Srinivasan believes they are not alive. Sethupathi gives the child his name as a father to safeguard Srinivasan. Nandini finds out about her birth father through events. Will Srinivasan accept his daughter? Will Sethupathi reunite with Srinivasan? Will the truth about Rangan's death be revealed? Well, those questions become the plot twist here.
