A humble temple priest has four daughters. He raised them as a single parent. The elder one, Vaishnavi, is married. But, her family life is not smooth, and she stays with her father and sisters. The second one is Padma. She is a talented woman and wants to lead a life that others envy. His third daughter is Kousalya, and the youngest daughter is Seetha. Each one has different opinions about life. Padma wishes to become a leading Bharatanatyam dancer. Meanwhile, Ranganayaki, the wealthy matriarch who once lived in their town, shifted her base to another town due to some issues. The temple jewels belonged to her family and the priest told Padma about Ranganayaki in detail. Soon, Ranganayaki returns to the town with her family. She is in search of a bride for her brother, Sudharshan, unaware that he is in love with Tulasi. Ranganayaki asks the mediator to bring a girl from a humble family, so that she can adjust anywhere. Padma’s name is suggested to her and she is ready to make arrangements. When Padma is happy and dreams that she’ll have a sophisticated life, she sees Tulasi with Sudharshan. What will she do? Will she break the arrangement or Tulasi-Sudharshan’s relationship? The rest of the story deals with Ranganayaki and Padma’s lives.
