Getti Melam is a series that started airing on Zee Tamil from 20^th Jan 2025 at 7:30 – 8:30 pm, every Monday to Saturday.

Sivaraman and Lakshmi are a middle-aged couple. They dream of building their own house after settling their children. Meanwhile, Sivaraman and Lakshmi’s son, Raghu, falls in love with a politician, Easwaran’s daughter and marries her. When Sivaraman’s family accept them, Easwaran’s family is in no mood to accept, as they had a huge dream about their daughter’s marriage. Though Easwaran’s wife is soft, her husband, son Vetrivel, and mother-in-law grow hatred towards Sivaraman’s family. Tulasi is Sivaraman and Lakshmi’s daughter. She works in an office. Tulasi’s boss, Srikanth, is a single parent and his daughter, Diya, is close to Tulasi. Diya’s grandmother, Rajeshwari, cares for her much. Rajeshwari asks Srikanth to remarry, but he denies it. Rajeshwari is a lady of principles. Though she is rich, she wishes her children not to spend lavishly. While her son is perfect, her daughter and her son-in-law spend lavishly. When Rajeshwari questions them, her daughter tells her that she has equal rights in property. In this situation, Tulasi’s marriage is fixed. Sivaraman and Lakshmi started inviting their friends and relatives to their daughter’s marriage. When they went to invite Easwaran and his family, they were humiliated by the politician. However, Easwaran’s wife treats them well. In a turn of events, Sivaraman and Lakshmi are arrested and kept in the lockup. What was the reason for their arrest? What happened to Lakshmi’s marriage? The rest of the series discusses the troubles faced by Sivaraman and Lakshmi and how they overcome them.
