After the success of ‘Bigg Boss Kannada,’ Season 8, Colors Kannada announced on 12th August 2021 that a mini-season would be launched based on the same format. The three-week-long mini-season premiered two days later on 14th August 2021, featuring several actors and returning players of the game.
Unlike the other typical seasons, this one had no winners or any evictions. Instead, the contestants were expected to play for the several prizes that were to be given at the grand finale. The grand finale, held on 5th September, was hosted by ‘Kiccha Sudeep,’ who distributed these awards after a splendid night of performances by previous winners and ex-contestants.
