Hindi Web Series Inside Edge

Inside edge is a sports drama series on Amazon Prime. The show is in Hindi. This was the first ever Hindi series originally on Amazon. Till now, three seasons have been released on Amazon Prime. Its first episode of the first season was released on 10 July 2017.

This show tries to showcase the games that happen off-field in a cricket match. The dark reality of the cricket world is highlighted. The politics, match fixing and corruption hinders the sportsman spirit of the game. The story revolves around a fictional team named the Mumbai Mavericks. This was their sixth season as a team in the Power Play League. Zarina Malik was the co-founder of the Mumbai Mavericks and was in urgent need of a financial partner. Her older partner went bankrupt and left the ownership of the team. Their preliminary rounds were going well, but their new owner completely changed the environment. Vikrant Dhawan completely overtakes everything, and Zarina realises that he will be the biggest problem for her in the upcoming days. The influential stakeholders bet against each other, and the game of cricket becomes just a game of gambling. People in business want to increase their money and don't care about the team or the game. Vayu Raghavan is a famous cricketer of this team, who is not worth idolising. He gets involved with the cheerleaders and is a womanizer. He doesn't care about the team. Another contrasting cricketer in the team is Prashant who belongs to a lower caste. He is in culture shock after joining the Mumbai Mavericks. He is often bullied due to his lower caste.
