Vidya Malvade is an Indian actress and an air hostess who was born on 2nd of March, 1973. She was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She is the niece of well-known actress Smita Patil. Her nicknames are “Shaz” and “Min”. Vidya has completed her higher studies in law and later she worked as a flight attendant for Alliance Air. Her height is 1.65m and she has also worked as a model in India. However, at present she works as an actress in Bollywood cinema. In the year 1997, she got married to Capt. Aravind Singh Bagga. He was a pilot and he worked for Alliance Air. They spent a happy marriage life for three years. However, unfortunately, Capt. Aravind Singh Bagga died in 2000 due to a plane crash. His air flight 7412 collided with a building in Patna and fifty people died including the pilot. Later, in 2009 she got married to Sanjay Dayma. Sanjay Dayma is a film director and a screenplay writer in Bollywood film industry. He worked in “ Lagaan” as an assistant director. Vidya Malvade is an animal lover. She is interested in music, acting and modeling. In 2003, she started her acting career in Bollywood cinema with “Inteha”. And in that movie, she played the role of Nandini Saxena. Inteha was a production of Vikram Bhatt. The movie was released on 24 October 2003 and it was a box office flop. Followed by Inteha, Vidya appeared in several TV commercials and few unsuccessful films as “ Footpath” and “Mashooka”. However, in 2007, she got the opportunity of playing a role with Shahrukh Khan in “Chak De India”. It was a Yash Raj Film production and she played the role of the captain, goalkeeper of the Indian women’s national hockey team. In 2008, she appeared in “Benaam” and “ Kidnap”. In Kidnap, she got the opportunity of acting with Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt. Vaani is a model and an actress who was born in 23rd of August in 1988 in Delhi India. Her parents are, Shiv Kapoor and Dimpy Kapoor. Her father is a businessman and mother is a teacher. She currently resides in Mumbai. She completed her school at the Mata Jai Kaur Public School, Delhi. Vaani completed her higher studies in IGNOU and there she obtained a degree in tourism studies. She is interested in music, dancing and fashion. Before she starts her career as a model, she worked for Oberoi Hotels & Resorts in Jaipur for one year. There she took up a program in hospitality. Then she joined ITC Hotels and obtained a professional exposure and according to her, those experiences were helpful in becoming successful in her life. The filmmakers were seeking for a new face and they selected her for the second female lead “Tara”. Tara is the role of a person of straightforward, outspoken, honest and very blunt. In Shuddh Desi Romance, Vaani got the opportunity of working with Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh. In the year 2013 and 2014, she won the best female debut award at Big Star Entertainment Awards, Filmfare Awards, International Indian Film Academy Awards, Star Guild Awards and Zee Cine Awards. Her second film was “Aaha Kalyanam”, the Tamil remake of romantic comedy movie “Band Baaja Baraat”. It is the first south production of Yash Raj Films. She received good reviews from the critics for her performances in the movie. During the film, Vaani had to learn Telugu and Tamil languages since the film was released in both the languages.



Vimi was a Punjabi girl who got noticed by music composer Ravi and she introduced to film maker B R Chopra who had cast Vimi in his film Hamraaz and she got noticed. Her first film was Humraaz opposite Sunil Dutt. The film was crime thriller and her talent was appreciated and she went to become a leading star of 60’s and 70’s. Her career was short lived as her husband tortured and she got separated from him. Even she later had affair with a new film producer named Jolly. But this did not give her any solace and mental peace too. Her film career never picked up and she faced shortage of money. It is true fame deserted her, and when she had asked for money from producers, they even had ditched her. This could be a reason that she died very early in mid-30s (her age not known). Industry sources claim that her career did not pick up and she led a frustrated life. She came to Mumbai after Ravi had introduced her to B R Chopra. Before making her debut in film, she was active in All India Radio. She actually belonged to Punjab and got married to a millionaire and became a native of Kolkata. She had two children even. It is after marriage she came to Bollywood. After success of Hamraaz, she became a star overnight. When she was ruling Bollywood, her parents deserted her and even her in-laws did not like the concept of her joining films. Her own family member mistook her foray into film world. It is said that even her in-laws did not allow her husband to own their property and disowned their son even as she got into films. That is why, she became the sole earner in family and as producers flocked at her door, she demanded a whooping sum of Rs 3 lakh per film. She ruled silver screen with her screen presence. Later on, many of her films had flopped and she ran short of money again. Due to shortage of money, she left then the polished bungalow in Juhu where she was living and led a modest life in suburb Mumbai. Her husband took to alcohol, and he even tried to negotiate her( the actress) for money with small producers. This finally ruined her film career and destroyed her young life and even devastated her family . She died on August 22, 1977. She acted in a film Guddi which had Jaya Bhaduri in the cast. Although she will be forgotten, but her vibrant look can still enthrall the viewers.
